About Our Client
Our client is a global 1st tier Investment Bank with a strong reputation in the market. Due to maternity leave of a staff, our client is seeking a suitable candidate to take up a team member role in their Tax Operations team in Hong Kong.

Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, you should be responsible for the following:

• To perform daily local tax processing and payment functions
• Proactively work with Operations and IT teams to develop expertise in new tax reports and document existing tax reporting processes and controls performed within the Operations division
• To assist in providing an interpretation of tax regulations, to keep the Infrastructure and Business Units updated on any changes in the rules across the various Asia Pacific markets

The Successful Applicant
You should possess either 2-5 years of experience in Operations OR 4-5 years in Big Four firm within their Tax Department serving the Financial Services clients. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge and prior experience in operation systems and processes. Some tax technical knowledge will be preferable. Must be able to define and prioritize daily activities and follow-up on outstanding issues; strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to learn quickly and to engage in a number of detailed tasks at once. Must have strong flexibility in regard to the duties assigned and problem solving skills, be able to work independently.
